We are an Anglican church in the Diocese of Llandaff which is part of the Church in Wales.
As Christians, worship underpins everything we do and forms a key part of our relationship with God. As individuals we pray to God when we are on our own and as a church we come together each week to praise God with our church family. St John's is open daily from 10am to 3pm for personal prayer, Everyone is welcome to sit in this ancient and holy building and to offer their prayers. There is a candle stand by the West Doors where you can light a candle and a donation wall safe so that you can make a contribution to the work of St John's.
Our main service is on Sunday morning but there is plenty going on each week as you'll see below.
Our main weekly service is at 10am. It is usually a Communion Service and lasts around 70 mins. There are refreshments after the service. On Sunday evenings at 6pm we have a service of Evensong. This lasts for around 40 minutes.
Our Bible Study Discussion Group meets at 12.30pm for around 45 minutes.
Christian Meditation and Mindfulness session at 12.45pm and at 6pm
Holy Eucharist at 12.30pm. This usually lasts around 30 minutes.
Our Chaplain The Rev'd Meg Underdown is usually available from 12.30pm and 2pm for listening, counsel and prayer.

We don't have any formal services on a Saturday but St John's is open for private prayer and reflection.
Prayer For The City at 10am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
Rev'd Sarah usually prays for the people and city of Cardiff at 10am. This takes the form of Morning Prayer and lasts about 20 minutes. Everybody is welcome to join her in the North aisle. However due to the nature of her work, there are some days when Rev'd Sarah will say Morning Prayer earlier before attending to her duties. On such days you are welcome to pray individually in St John's. If you would particularly like to join us for Morning Prayer we suggest that you contact us and we will be happy to confirm the arrangements for a specific day.
